(More customer reviews)This is a caveman easy job. You can change the filter in about 5 minutes at a cost of about 25% of what the dealer would charge you.
1. Open glove box.
2. Remove the single phillips screw from the support bar on the right side of the glove box door and pull the bar (you only need to move it slightly) away from the side of the door. By design, the bar will retract some when you let it go.
3. Drop the front of the box down. (The door won't fall off.)
4. As I recall, there is a plastic cover over the end of the filter that snaps off. Depress the tab on the end of the cover and remove it.
5. Pull out old filter. when you pull the filter out pay attention to the air flow direction stamp on the side of the filter.
6. Paying attention to proper air flow direction on the new filter, slide it in place.
6. Complete the remainder of the job by reversing the above steps.
Note, there will be some slight resistance when you pull the support bar down to place it back on the side of the golve box door. The resistance is minor and normal.
