I installed these in my 2001 E320 Estate thinking that another layer of charcoal filtration would be beneficial for blocking those extra strong exhaust fumes from some of the other cars on the road. What I found was that even though these were exactly the same size and shape as the OEM ones they replaced they did not fit well. The problem is that the foam-rubber gaskets around the sides of the filters stick to each other when you go to install the second filter. This is due to the fact that they're foam-rubber and not felt like the OEM filters. Even with gentle force and guidance this caused some bending of the filter body and element during installation. I would still purchase these again but would place some scotch tape or something else slick over the inside gasket of one of the filters so that it would allow the other gasket to slide along it without grabbing. Also the pleats on the filter are not nearly as dense as they appear in the picture. This probably allows better airflow but may result in the need to change them more frequently.
