I had a one-time use for these gauges to install a mini-split air conditioner in my South Carolina sun room. The gauges and a pump together cost less than an air conditioner company wanted just to draw down the system and release the refrigerant into the lines and inside air handler. After successful use, I gave the tools to my son who is in the business. BTW: to do the job right, I used a borrowed vacuum gauge too.
