(More customer reviews)I've had this unnecessarily large, ugly, inaccurate, and unreliable instrument in my RV for a season due primarily to the lack of better alternatives in the marketplace.
The meter is highly sensitive to static electricity. A static charge from walking across the floor and touching the meter on a dry day is enough to push the needle to one side or another by 10 volts or more. Even without that the meter is off by several volts when compared to a calibrated test instrument.
It does indicate whether voltage is present and provides some idea whether it is high or low. Don't expect more.
