Instructions were clear enough for someone with a little bit of car knowledge, might not be enough for a total newbie. Would help to add that the access door on the filter compartment slides up once the clip is removed. New filters fit perfectly inside and they are far more substantial than the original equipment filter that I removed. Price much more realistic than dealer's price...so assuming the filter works well, I'm totally satisfied.
