(More customer reviews)I bought this item to provide some respite while driving my convertible in the San Antonio heat. I've only had the item a few days, here are my findings so far.
-There is definitely air flow on the lower portion of the item, the upper portion does work and it's more noticeable when leaning slightly forward. After setting the air con to the foot well the cooling effect is far more effective and can be felt throughout the cooler. The effect may be slightly reduced when driving but any additional cooling will be welcome.
-The item is quite rigid, it would need to be to retain the airflow effectively. It's unlikely to be comfortable for more than an hour in the seat but the additional cooling makes it worth the sacrifice when choosing to drive with the top down.
-The seating position with the item installed is noticeably raised. I've had to set my seat back and also sit an inch higher than I did prior to installation, it's changed the driving dynamic of my MX5 - you're less ensconced in the sport seat. Again, the additional cooling makes it worth the sacrifice.
